Fiesta 2022

After 2 years out, we're back, with what we think will be our best tournament yet!

ENTER ONLINE: You can enter by filling in our online entry form here, but first, here's everything you need to know...

When is it?

  • Friday, June 3rd - Girls only (U8, U9, U11, U12, U13, U14 - midday onwards)
  • Saturday, June 4th - Boys / Mixed U10, U14 (am) and U8, U12 (pm)
  • Sunday, June 5th - Boys / Mixed U9, U13 (am) and U7, U11 (pm)

Please note: it is the Queen's jubilee weekend, with bank holidays on both Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June. Please ensure you have checked your players are definitely available before entering, as we anticipate more people than usual being away, given the extended weekend.

Where is it?

The tournament is at Langton Green Recreation Ground, which is just outside Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The post code is TN3 0JJ.

Who can enter?

Our tournament is open to teams from all grassroots clubs, from U7s to U14s (girls start at U8s). You will need your club's FA affiliation number to enter. We can't accept entries from teams who do not provide a verified FA affiliation number and won't accept entries from professional "academies" or commercial coaching companies.

You will also need to list an FA qualified first aider and a DBS checked coach (they can be the same person) who will be in attendance on the day.

Age groups are as per the 2021-2022 season, so if your team is currently an U13 team for example, they should enter as an U13 team.

How much does it cost?

Entry is £40 per team for all age groups. Payment can be made by bank transfer or Paypal and must be made within 14 days of entry or your place will be offered to another team. Details on how to pay are included on the "thank you" page after entering and in the e-mail you will receive from us once you've entered. If you can't find these, or have misplaced the e-mail, please e-mail Michael White on [email protected]

What is the format?

  • U7s & U8s play 5 a side
  • U9s and above play 6 a side
  • You can bring as many players in your squad as you like, but we only have 8 medals per team for the winners / runners up in competitive age groups, so if you bring more than 8 players, some will go without a medal if you reach the final.
  • U8s and above are competitive (group stage then knockout games for those who progress)
  • U7s is non-competitive and will feature a series of friendly games, with every player receiving a medal for taking part
  • Games will be 10 minutes long (2 x 5 minute halves)
  • Competitve age groups feature a cup and a plate competition after the initial group phase, ensuring teams of all abilities have the chance of progressing and competing to reach a final.
  • The winners of both the cup and plate will receive a trophy, with each player from both the winners and runners up in both competitions receiving a gold or silver medal.
  • Every team can expect a minimum of 5 or 6 games, with many playing up to 7 or 8 depending on how far they progress.
  • We will do our best to ensure the groups are as fair and even as possible.
  • We always work hard to ensure a quick turnaround, no long gaps between matches and as short a gap as possible between the group and knockout phases.

How can we enter?

Easy... just fill in the entry form here. Once you have entered, you will receive an e-mail including details on how to pay. Once you have paid, assuming you meet the entry criteria, you're in!!

What is we have to pull out?

If you pull out by April 30th, you will receive a full refund. After that, we can't offer any refunds, so please only enter if you are absolutely certain you can be there and have enough players to enter.

What happens once we're full?

We will operate a waiting list, on a first come, first served basis. If we have anyone pull out, the first name on the waiting list will be offered the place, then the next and so on. In the event of late notice dropouts we'll offer the place to the whole waiting list on a first-reponse basis.

Can you guarantee it will be sunny?

Don't be silly. It's England. But we have a mostly good record with sunshine.
